Staying at a Fine Riad in Marrakech
Apr 18th, 2007 by Rcon Franchesca Pascua
At first, I am a bit hesitant in going to luxurious Morocco trips and pleasurable accommodations because I usually have tight budgets whenever I travel. However, I realized that if I really want to enjoy my vacation and make the most out of my visit, then I should give myself a treat through staying in an impressive Riad. I mentioned in one of my previous entries that I regret not being able to stay in one of Marrakech’s prime Riad accommodations during my first visit in the city. But, on my second trip, I was fortunate enough to stay in an elegant Riad in Marrakech.
So, why am I so thrilled about my stay in a Riad? It’s because Riads are not the typical accommodation establishments in Morocco like luxury villas and first-class hotels. A stay in a Riad gives you a chance to have a lavish vacation because it offers first-class facilities, excellent accommodation assistance, and exceptional amenities that you can’t find in an ordinary inn. Anyways, I booked a suite at Riad Dar Marhaba and although it was not the most expensive and the most extravagant Riad in Marrakech, I sure had the grandest overnight stay there.

What I enjoyed most in my stay at Riad Dar Marhaba was it pampered me in a traditional Moroccan way. Apart from the Riad’s excellent, in-house restaurant that served only the most delectable Morrocan dishes, my suite also has a spacious patio that allowed me to have a breathtaking view of the city. See, Riad Dar Marhaba’s rates are more affordable than those of uber-affluent Riads in the city so it really provided me a fancy and relaxing vacation in Marrakech that I always wanted to have!
