Water Sellers in Marrakech City

I really enjoy taking pictures, that is why my digital camera is among the things I never forget to bring whenever I travel. In Morocco’s Marrakech city, the medina is my favorite spot to take excellent pictures. Aside from exquisite Riad architecture, this part of the city also has amazing attractions that are definitely worth-seeing and there is always something interesting going on in the square. One time, I was wandering around the medina when I suddenly became very thirsty. See, I was then scouting the district the whole day, just snapping pictures of the things I found worthy of my camera films. I asked one stall owner in the souk market where can I buy bottled waters, and he told me that water sellers are all over the city square. When I finally spotted one, I learned that water sellers also have other amusing racket aside from selling bottled waters.
The water sellers found in the streets of Marrakech city are not just mere water sellers per se. Dressed in bright-colored outfits and accessories, these guys also offer amusement and entertainment to travelers. No tourist can resist taking pictures of these fellas for they are really a sight to behold. While some ask for money, others are cheerful and kind enough to allow travelers to take pictures of them for free. Fortunately for me, the water seller I encountered in the square allowed me to take some pictures for free. Plus, his bottled water was ice cold and cheap! It was really a lucky and amusing day for me!

Sounds exactly like what happens when you visit Bombay. Street kids are ever so present in those big metro cities. Nice site! How exotic a vacation? Lucky you because I am green with envy. Thanks for the comment on my blog!
Your blog on Marrakech is superb!
I was there in November 2006 and enjoyed it a lot! Some pictures will one day appear at my blog, but I’m a little late; actually just finished the trottings of September 2004…
Thanks for dropping by at Blogtrotter and for the comment. Keep trotting!

Anyone would have clicked a picture of the people dressed that brightly. Well, as I am from India, I am used to similar stunts myself. Have you ever been to India?
