My First Marrakech Travel
Mar 26th, 2007 by Rcon Franchesca Pascua
I have always believed in the saying, “Great things come in small packages.”, for it perfectly describes my very first Marrakech travel.
You see, I was actually not that prepared to travel in such a distant Middle Eastern city. When I say unprepared, I guess what I meant was I did not have enough budget for the trip; I did not have a traveling-buddy to accompany me to such exciting yet strange place; and my brain was oddly malfunctioning to recall all the exploration marathon that I planned for the trip. But as soon as the plane finally landed at Marrakech International Airport, I knew that I was going to have a great time in Marrakech, no matter how little my travel preparations were.
Since I flew to the city with only a fair traveling budget, I booked for a comfy and suitable hotel room at Les Borjs De La Kasbah for a cheaper rate than I expected. Although the room was a bit small compared to my usual accommodation preferences, the atmosphere was cozy enough, and the room, in fact, had a great view of Marrakech’s busy shopping district. I arrived it the city mid-afternoon, so that gave me enough time to rest and explore the city during the night. The first place I visited was of course, the city souks! It has anything travelers could possibly imagine for a bargain price — from casks of olives, spices, henna pots, almonds, to delicious ground nuts. I also toured around the city and visited most of the top attractions and events popular in Marrakech. Although I was not that fully prepared for my first trip to the city, I had, nonetheless, a grand time touring around my dream Marrakech travel destination. Indeed, I gained great experiences out of my abrupt trip to one of Morocco’s finest cities.

Hi! There… This is the kind of travel that everyone would like to have - on holiday/vaccation! Unlike yours, mine are very boring, coz… they are all business! And due to $$ and ‘baby’ issues, I can’t extend too… But one day, yes, one day, I will make sure I enjoy like you…
Good job, very much impressed with the details, should go and visit one day!
