Moroccan Blog: Travelogues Of A Cat And Meanderings Of An Australian
Jun 11th, 2007 by Racquel Balao-as
Whenever I go online, I do not just write and post my own travelogues. I also read the amusing stories of my fellow travelers via their online journals. Meeting people who share the same fondness for backpacking, sightseeing, and adventure-seeking excites my senses. It is not only the details of their whereabouts and activities that lure me into spending hours reading other people’s blog entries. The fascinating manner and style of unveiling their thoughts and ideas were actually the more prevailing reasons why I keep coming back for more.
That’s why for today, before I leave this hotel and embark on a new Fez adventure, let me introduce two of my most favorite Moroccan blogs.
Cat in Rabat is a Moroccan blog maintained by a teacher assigned at Rabat. Her honest and fiery commentaries, sprinkled with a dash of wit, about the issues concerning Morocco captivate many readers. Not interested in Morocco matters? Don’t worry, you don’t have to be one to enjoy the snarky musings of the Cat in Rabat. Also in store for you are a healthy dose of the author’s views on political, funny, and quintessential issues.
HeatherF’s Moroccan Meanderings is on my list for two reasons: fantastic photos and candid narrative of the writer’s experiences. An Australian residing and making a living in Morocco, HeatherF takes snapshots of the interesting things she discovered in Morocco and shares the images to her readers. The photos alone will make you want to either bookmark the page or go to Morocco pronto!
