					<description>The fez was originally Greek, I believe.  It was instituted as part of the Ottoman dress code for muslims in 1836, and banned in Turkey in 1925.  Since when, visitors to Istanbul have been hard pressed to find one.</description>

					<description>I have a fez back home that I got at a garage sale. It's an old Shriner hat I'm sure, complete with some kind of gold emblem. I got a kick out of it and have it on a shelf in my room.</description>
